Kyle Huntoon formed Hunt & Noyer Woodworks in early 2013 to create small housewares and gift items from high-quality American hardwoods. His company has since grown to include an original line of furniture, wholly designed and handcrafted by Kyle in the Hunt & Noyer studio in downtown Detroit, Michigan. In addition to a growing line of home accessories and furnishings, Hunt & Noyer has completed a number of collaboration projects with talented makers in Detroit, along with commission work for museums, small retailers, and corporate clients.
As a fourth generation woodworker who followed his passion into furniture designer, our owner, and lead designer/craftsman Kyle Huntoon believes in the importance of passing things down. He designs furniture that will stand the test of time in both utility and design.
He stands by his craftsmanship and looks to build relationships with clients that will last for years to come, in the hopes that the pieces they commission today to become the heirlooms of tomorrow.
In early 2016 Kyle was selected to compete on Ellen’s Design Challenge on HGTV. He was able to show the world his design skills and craftsmanship, pushing himself to pursue new ideas, ultimately making pieces that he was proud to call his own.
Some of Hunt & Noyer’s pieces are available through West Elm or by contacting him directly.
